Hyundai E.I Co., Ltd. has the branch office in Pocheon that has the resources circulation facilities of 3,400 pyeong (about 11 million ㎡)
and the office is the place where the recyclables and used clothes disposed from apartment houses (apartment and studio apartment) are collected
in a number of regions that sign the contract with Headquarters, Hanam.
The export of Hyundai E.I Co., Ltd. began at the second plant in Seong-dong, Hanam-si in 2007 and moved it to Pocheon in 2011.
"Unless the old clothes are sent to the places where they are needed, it would have a bad influence on the environment such as incineration.
But, if they are exported, it would be recycling as the resources and huge help to the poor countries."
The old clothes that Hyundai E.I Co., Ltd. exports reaches about 9 million dollars a year (as of 2018) and its main
countries are about 30 in Asia and Africa.
They are Mongolia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Iraq, Turkey, Indonesia and East Timor in Asia and
Tanzania, Kenya, Republic of South Africa, Cameroon, Ghana, Nigeria and Republic of Cote d'lvoire in Africa.
Main target countries among these are Cambodia and Ghana and has been recording growth trend of higher than approximately 10% after
being awarded Export Tower of 5 million dollars in 2015.
